Hi all,

I tried to install the libgsl0-dev package on my Ubuntu Edgy box, but I
got an installation error:

?> apt-get install libgsl0-dev

Get:1 http://nl.archive.ubuntu.com edgy/main libgsl0-dev 1.8-1 [1192kB]
Fetched 1192kB in 4s (260kB/s)

(Reading database ... 166317 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking libgsl0-dev (from .../libgsl0-dev_1.8-1_i386.deb) ...
Setting up libgsl0-dev (1.8-1) ...
install-info: unrecognized option `--description=The GNU Scientic
Library Reference.'
Try `install-info --help' for a complete list of options.
dpkg: error processing libgsl0-dev (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
  libgsl0-dev

Apparently, some superfluous --description flag is present in some
info-file, but I don't know where (or how) to repair this. The
suggestion to take a look at install-info --help did not provide me with
a clear "type of filename" to repair this flag. Anyone any idea?

Some more info: I did install the library pack, libgsl0, a couple of
month earlier, but since the latter does not contain any header files, I
needed the libgsl0-dev as well.

thanks for any solutions!

Bram
