That's not likely correct. sg0 should be a "scsi generic" device, which is
a character, not a block, device. sg0 seems to be some sort of control
device, as there generally seems to be such a device associated with each
scsi block device.

That's a symlink to /dev/scd0 on my system, which is the correct device.
hal-device-manager is probably the best way to find what it should be for
your system.
