You might need the gstreamer0.10 libraries in these packages:
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-multiverse
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
Also, for xine, you might need
libxine-extracodecs
libxine1-ffmpeg
