Fail to enter rc1.d by putting 1 in bootparam in edgy

Thanks for your reply. I already did as you said, filed a bug report in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/upstart/+bug/85014
BTW, any workaround to make it ? Will it be possible an updated/patched/backport upstart is available for Ubuntu 6.10 recently ?
