Hi Jeffrey
Right firstly killall gnome-screensaver does not seem to have any effect.
Its the matrix one that is set. I tried what you suggested but for some
reason every time I log it the %gconf.xml gets re-written back to its
original settings.
I don't think its a problem with the screensaver entirely. I suspect its
the flaky driver for the voodoo3. If I was not so tight fisted and more
optimistic I'd be able to get a better card that has better drivers (ho
ho ho!) I would.
Is there anything else I can do to try and sport this out?
HTH
