Odd network traffic with Edgy

It isn't background updates, acc'd to Synaptic it's up to date except
for the ones released today, and I don't have it set to do automatic
downloads for updates.
As to other processes - I think I'll compare between the two boxes to
see what the differences are, see if I have some odd service running
etc.
