Chronic white-screen symptom

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to install EE Server Edition on a 733 MHz PowerPC G4 with 1 MB L3
cache.  I have 1 GD SDRAM in it.  I have tried video=ofonly many times as
well as the install vs install-powerpc, etc. etc. options.  Nothing seems to
work.  This has happened for most versions of Ubuntu that I have tried to
install on this particular computer.

What could the problems be?
