No, you don't need to install a 32-bit firefox just because of flash.
The flash plugin works quite well with nspluginwrapper. And the ubufox
extension, which is installed by default on Gutsy, can even set it up
automatically.

For a 64-bit Java plugin, one could install IcedTea - which has some
limitations though.
