Linux kernel 2.4 on Ubuntu 7.10 howto?

If you can't find out how to install a 2.4 kernel for Ubuntu 7.10, maybe 
you could use an older version of Ubuntu. For version 6.06 there is a 2.4 
kernel in the repositories.
