System get no response while running amule/mldonkey in Ubuntu 7.10

Thanks, i will try to see the log.
I even tried eMule with wine, it works but eventually it gets no response.
everything else works fine, Ubuntu 7.10 is the first linux distribution that
i can depend on in production activity.
i googled quite a lot, seems no one experienced this kind of trouble.
maybe the driver is incompatible with my pcmcia wireless card? it will crash
when lots of connections established?
or maybe there is something wrong with the hard disk controller?
the system goes down only when eMule/aMule/mlDonky is working, and the cpu
is not hot enough to make the system down.
any one experienced the problem of ubuntu 7.10 going to no response?
any information will be appreciated.
