exactly, don't buy unbranded cheap media's and be keen at
distinguishing imitations.
For CD/DVD, I go for Sony, it might cost a dollar or so, but it will
save you with a lot of trouble
in the future. Sometimes I buy those cheap medias when I'm short
(since I'm still a student),
and I had to take some extra care with them, because they are super
sensitive to scatches,
most of those cheap CD's are unused cause they are full of scratches
(for unknown reasons).
And it can really help to burn your CD/DVD on lower speeds.
