vsftpd + MySQL + create directories?

Hello!

I have have succeded to create an almost complete installation of vsftpd,
with user credentials saved in a MySQL database, following this excellent
guide from howtoforge.com:
http://www.howtoforge.com/vsftpd_mysql_debian_etch

It doesn't cover howto create directories though, without using command
line. As I use phpMyAdmin for handling the database, is there any way to
make it create directories automatically, named after the user, in a default
directory, e.g. '/home/ftp'?
