And I solved the dvd:rip problem by a little more googling, asking
questions on a forum or two, and experimentation for about an hour.

Get the title information from the disc, select which ones to work with,
rip them, go to the transcode page, transcode them. (there may be more,
but I haven't gotten that far yet)...
