Konsole mouse cursor question

When Konsole is the active window, in my otherwise Gnome setup, and the
cursor rests within the window, it vanishes after about 5 seconds.  The
cursor doesn't seem to do this in other applications. Presumably
there's a setting somewhere that controls this behaviour.  Can anyone
tell me where I find it? I couldn't see anything in kcontrol, nor in
the normal desktop system settings.

Or is it a bug, arising out of the fact that I'm using a KDE
application in Gnome? In which case, is it a Gnome bug, or a KDE bug?
