Sorry, meant /usr/log

root at Nebo:~# ls /usr
bin  games  include  lib  local  sbin  share  src  X11R6

No, I meant that the log directory does not exist under /usr...
I only have /var/log. Could that be a problem ??

I'd still spend some time this weekend going through your log files to
see what you can spot.
