Give grandma the right reasons to use Ubuntu

I didn't know about sounder. Now I will probably subscribe there and
repost the same message, no problem. However, I'll risk and say it
one more time even here, because this is an essential point:

The issue I'm trying to raise is, it doesn't matter how actually
difficult, or easy, it is to move grandma to (whatever version of) Linux.
Because it's
much more important, if one cares about Free Software remaining relevant in
general, to bring senior citizens and all other non-geeks into the fight
for defending Free standards and software.

Please, howeve, remember that if you put it as your first goal to convert
a non-geek to using Linux in person it is very likely that you'll scare or
annoy him or her. Like it or
not, this is the world we live in. If you focus on converting
him or her to become a supporter of Free formats and software instead, he
or she won't feel "forced" to change his or her computing habits, but writing
to MPs, demanding FOSS at their children school etc... will make much more
good to FOSS, which in turn will _also_ bring more users to Linux.
