How do we get out / rid of initramfs ???

Interesting question. I installed 7.10 using the alternate text mode,
setup LVM encrypted, and had to restore a dd image I made of the
encrypted drive. On a reboot, it left me with an initramfs prompt, but
wouldn't boot normally. I didn't know what to do next, and, without
responses from the group or any viable googling, I just re-installed.
I'm not sure if it was a problem with the dd image, the LVM encrypted
option on install, or what, but it was a bit frustrating.
If the OP is saying that they boot up and get this prompt 'initramfs>'
then that's what they're talking about "getting out of". You certainly
don't want to get rid of initramfs...
