Probably you are looking for /etc/iftab -- this is what it looks like 
here:

# This file assigns persistent names to network interfaces.
# See iftab(5) for syntax.
eth0 mac 00:30:05:FE:B9:B1
eth1 mac 00:20:18:2E:9F:F1
eth2 mac 00:00:1C:30:74:01
