VirtualBox breaks networking?

Hello all,
I install VirtualBox on my Feisty with the latest updates. VirtualBox works
great. I even follow the instruction on how to setup "full virtual
networking" with VirtualBox. The guest can open the internet, and is
accessible from the network.

However, it seems that the host networking (Feisty's) is broken because of
the "full virtual networking" feature of VirtualBox. I'm just not sure
whether this is the intended side effect or there is something wrong with my
setup.

The network is not completely broken though, I can still ping, nmap, retrieve
mail from the IMAP server. However the other connectivity like browsing the
internet, yahoo messenger stops working. "Cannot connect to site".
Has anyone experienced this?
Cheers.
