HiIn fact after a number of tests I woud say u struck the nail on the head in
my case. Leaviing a disk unfinalized ( by the standards of my dvrs ) meant
only windows could read the disks. When I finalized the disks, linux (ubuntu
in this case) could read them as well. Not trying to rubish those who give us
ush functionality, but maybe they'be missed something re how windows handles
this format? I'm guessing there are some strict guidelines, but maybe
windows aint payiny attention in that respect? If that's the case, then why
should linux?
