UDF 2.5 support for Gutsy?

Hello all, 
I was wondering if anyone knew if udf 2.5 will be supported in the
kernel release that should ship with Gutsy. I've been trying to patch my
own kernel for a while with no success, so I'm frustrated when I come to
download video off my Sony dvd camcorder. (I believe this records in udf
2.5 format.)
Has anyone successfully patched their kernel?
