USB Audio

Hi I'm running Feisty on my pc at home & have a usb device designed to
connect to a turntable.  I use Audacity and get perfect recordings this
way.  Just open the mixer applet and select the usb device (as opposed
to  alsa/oss).  The only thing I can't control with the usb is the
recording level.  So far that's not been a problem, as Audacity has all
of the tools I need to fix the crackles & pops.  Good luck
