Second stupid question...seeing that these are labeled amd64, I'm 
assuming that these would only function on an AMD processor?  I was 
hoping to use it on an Intel (personal preference), but if canonical 
only has 64 bit builds for the AMD processor this would affect 
purchasing decisions...

I didn't know if the AMD build is taking advantage of something that 
would only work with that processor.
