Printer Problem

Greetings,

I can print from all applications except those installed under my home
directory. For example, I can print from OpenOffice, Firefox and qedit,
which are /usr/bin apps but not from Netbeans, BlueJ, or QDevelop which
are installed under /home/me/apps. When executing print from these later
apps, the print dialog lists the printer and places the job in the
queue, but each job appears as stopped and can't be resumed.  I am using
Ubuntu 7.04. Could it be a permissions problem?
