Home Fileserver with wide-open Samba

Hi List,

It took me quite a while to try different things with the
/etc/samba/smb.conf file to get it so that I don't have to enter a
password and can also make changes (write) to the fileserver.

Having such a wide-open setup should NEVER be used in a professional
environment. There may be other, home users on this list, however,
that don't keep "mission critical" files on their computers and are
willing to live with the risks of losing data (because you all have
backups anyway, right?).

Here is a link to the tutorial I wrote to set up Samba in a totally
INSECURE way:

Use with caution. Yell at somebody else, because you have been warned...

P.S. I've gotten a lot of good info from this list, but I can't read
all the emails, so if you want me to answer a question, please copy
this email address if you reply to the list. thanks.
