Why is it that obvious is being overlooked? Ubuntu can't be compared to
other distros. Plain and simple. Others (including myself) have
articulated as to why Ubu is and does what it is/does.
It's geared towards the Windows user - therefore it has more installed
then other distros do in order to attract the Windows users etc.
It's made to be simple and try to have EVERYTHING.
Why is that so hard for some to understand? It's like you are not
reading what others (and myself) are trying to say to you.
Ubu will almost ALWAYS run a tab slower then any other distro with a
KDE/Gnome install. That's by design. That's Ubuntu.
If you start removing the things that attract Windows users, you 'll
lose them - in addition (as I said before) then Ubu becomes nothing
more then another vanilla Linux distro.
