Musical notation editor

Hi. I'm looking for a simple musical notation editor for Linux , but one
without Nazi tendencies (i.e., it will allow the wrong numbers of beats
in bars and suchlike). I have found rosegarden and noteedit, but both
seem way too powerful and complicated (noteedit's editing interface is
nothing short of appalling). LilyPond has no GUI, and I really don't
want to learn yet another little language.

I also need to be able to print the results.

Any ideas?
