You might consider a "Portal Server," though setting these things up can
be tricky.
Liferay is one in particular that is open source. I don't believe it's
been packaged for Ubuntu, but there is a VMWare image which can be run
in the VMWare player that's avaiallbe for Ubuntu in the multiverse.

I haven't set this up myself, but some of my coworker have used it.
