Apologies, I forgot to add:

For those wondering how to see the "Depends", "Conflicts" etc., besides
going to the packages.ubuntu.com links, there are two easy ways:

1. Gui. System|Administration|Synaptic Package Manager. Right click on
any package, then select Properties|Dependencies.

2. Command line. apt-cache depends packagename Example:

~$ apt-cache depends shorewall
shorewall
  Depends: iptables
  Depends: iproute
 |Depends: debconf
  Depends: <debconf-2.0>
    cdebconf
    debconf
  Suggests: shorewall-doc
 |Suggests: <kernel-image-2.4>
 |Suggests: <kernel-image-2.6>
  Suggests: <linux-image-2.6>
    linux-image-2.6.15-27-386
    linux-image-2.6.15-28-386
    linux-image-2.6.20-15-386
    linux-image-2.6.20-15-generic
    linux-image-2.6.20-15-lowlatency
    linux-image-2.6.20-15-server
    linux-image-2.6.20-15-server-bigiron
    linux-image-2.6.20-16-386
    linux-image-2.6.20-16-generic
    linux-image-2.6.20-16-lowlatency
    linux-image-2.6.20-16-server
    linux-image-2.6.20-16-server-bigiron
    xen-image-2.6.19-4-generic
    xen-image-2.6.19-4-server
  Suggests: make
  Recommends: wget
  Conflicts: ipmasq
  Conflicts: knetfilter
  Conflicts: <firewall-easy>
  Conflicts: filtergen
  Conflicts: uif
  Conflicts: <webmin-firewall>
  Conflicts: <ipmenu>
  Conflicts: gnome-lokkit
  Conflicts: guarddog
  Conflicts: guidedog
  Conflicts: ferm

If you'd like to see what has been installed at each update/date:

System|Administration|Synaptic Package Manager|File|History

I'm sure there is probably a command line for the above... I just don't
know what it is.
