No, it wouldn't.  As far as the packaging system is concerned, there is only
Ubuntu.  Kubuntu uses the same set of sources, but installs kubuntu-desktop
and all its dependencies.

Whether you're running Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, EduBuntu or who knows how
many other variants we now have, the version is _still_ "Ubuntu Y.mm"
