USB <--> Parallel Printer-Cable

Actually it isn't just a cable. USB is 4 wires only with a serial 
protocol.

My experience with a USB -> parallel printer cable: The printer has to be 
switched on during boot time. Otherwise I have to unplug and reinsert the 
USB plug of the cable and / or reload the usblp module and / or restart 
cups. Sorry, I don't remember the exact procedure because I use the 
printer only very seldom.
