And my 2 cents to import your contacts from Outlook Express.
>From OE to Thunderbird. Just import them to windows thunderbird and then
you can export the thunderbird file to your thunderbird linux (not much
of a deal). You lose the middle name of your contacts
>From OE to Evolution. This one was harder to find but you get all the
data. 
1. Just select all contacts, click on them and without releasing the
button drop them in a folder somewhere. You will get a vcf file for each
contact. 
2. Take them to Linux.
3. Merge the VCF (it should be something like cp *.vcf merged.vcf)
4. Import the merged.csv file into Evolution. You will get all your
contacts plus all the metadata.

PS- Forget about csv, it works terribly. I managed to import them to
kontact then exporting to Evolution but I lost some fields.
