Going back and forth may get a bit troublesome for people when not
employed by unemployment. And why all that effort goes down the drain?
The whole experience ambiance that was generated by E-6.10 is almost
devoured away by F-7.04. I even asked a question is "launchpad" about
what may be the time to get the three things corrected (the USB HD, the
wireless mouse, and the scanner: question link:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/5685)
In fact, as in the question I said, how much time it may take to correct
these problems, so that I can think on transferring to E-6.10 or some
other distro like SuSE-10.2. Take the problem of the Toshiba USB HD (80
GB): it was not working first, because 'password-protection' was
enabled, which is DRM, and second, the supply of current was low in the
front panel USB port. And in the both the cases it was sheer reasonable
guess, not some pointer that the system gave, which it should, I think.
Just see, the possibility of this question getting asked shows something
changed there, which was exactly the reverse after E-6.10, before the
coming of F-7.04. On the SW front, the very 'glxinfo' is restarting my
'gdm'. For this kind of unpredictable misbehavior there was not a single
instance in E-6.10. And a lot in F-7.04. So, please, Mr. Bruce Marshall,
don't be so aloof and indifferent to the problems of other friends in
the community. Changing the OS is not exactly like changing a vest. We
all love Ubuntu: that is what we share.
