RealRek Audio input: no recording after upgradation

Recording was working fine with Ubuntu daper. I upgraded it to edgy
and then to Feisty. Now I find recoding is not working. Audio device
is RealRek ALC883 as shown by GNOME ALSA Mixer. It shows PCM, Front,
Front Mi, Line, CD, Mic, Capture, Capture, with 2nd capture ticked for
recording, Headphone also ticked. I use headphone mic for recording.
Speakers (external and of headphone) are working fine.

However, when I use Sound Recorder, it only shows capture, and capture
1, there is no Mic, or Front mic. I tried both capture and capture1,
when recording, it shows recording, but on playing back, nothing is
played, no progress is shown. If I try to save file, it says "Save
could not save the file: Invalid parameters".

What I can do to make it working.

Thanks in advance.
