The lost and found directory is a indication that the filesystem is still
mounted. Lost and found directories are normally found in the root directory of
a file system (remember that the /mnt/hda7 is just a normal regualr directory
which would not have lost and found in it).

do as root:

sudo umount /mnt/hda7

the ls /mnt/hda7
