Audio problem in browser?

I installed xubuntu and have run into a strange snag listening to my 
favorite radio station.  The streaming audio require the mplayerplug-
in and I installed that and it works fine.  Until I collapse the 
browser window up to just a title bar.  The audio stops and will 
never restart again.  I have to reboot to make it play.  It doesn't 
have a problem if I minimize it though.  Any ideas?
