Why doesn't Compiz work on an Ati card?

While this is probably not the answer you want, I've never been able
to get it working with the ATI cards either. Remember that both Beryl
and Compiz are still in beta, and are being heavily developed. So
while you may have to wait, I can't imagine it will to long a wait
(less than a year...)
