they enabled a flag in the feisty kernel to enable more computers to
be able to go into suspend properly + this broke scanning for a fair
number of scanners, i think its being investigated on the xsane side but
if your not interested in suspend you can recompile the kernel with the
different flags. there is a bug filed on launchpad i just cant find it right
now.
