Problems playing Flash Video .flv files on Edgy Eft

Does this not suggest a damaged file?

*.flv files play fine here on both dapper and feisty - ffplay plays them ,
but mplayer and co. use ffmpeg for flv anyway. The only problem I have
seen was that on Dapper the audio sync was off - but this was largely
corrected by using

ffplay -sync ext somefile.flv
