6.06 Dapper LTS is frustrating overall because there are multiple
security issues with the applications that are supported. For example;
Firefox 1.5x will be going away come April 24 2007 and will be replaced
by FF 2.x, see:

Firefox 2.0.0.3 and Firefox 1.5.0.11 Security and Stability Update

As part of Mozilla Corporation's ongoing stability and security update
process, Firefox 1.5.0.11 and Firefox 2.0.0.3 are now available for
Windows, Mac, and Linux for free download from http://getfirefox.com.

Due to the security fixes, we strongly recommend that all Firefox users
upgrade to these latest releases.

Note: Firefox 1.5.0.x will be maintained with security and stability
updates until April 24, 2007. All users are encouraged to upgrade to
Firefox 2. Firefox 1.5.0.11 is available for download from
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older.html.

Another example is OpenOffice; 6.06 only supports 2.02 which also has
security issues and the current revision is 2.2. So, you have your
choice of LTS with severely outdated applications w/security issues, an
interim mess of 6.10 Edgy, or a 7.04 Feisty beta.

Dapper (6.06) works pretty well if you don't mind not being able to use
built-in ethernet ports or modems, Edgy 6.10 was a mess on all of my
systems when it first came out but seems to have settled in, and Feisty
is looking to be the best so far once the network-manager application is
purged.
