Palm not appearing with Feisty

Ubuntu Users,

I have a Palm Pilot TX that I was using with Edgy. However, I recently
reformatted my computer and did a fresh install of Feisty.

I have verified that in the file /etc/udev/rules.d/60-symlinks.rules
that I have the following line:
# Create /dev/pilot symlink for Palm Pilots
KERNEL=="ttyUSB*", ATTRS{product}=="Palm Handheld*|Handspring *|palmOne
Handheld", \
                    SYMLINK+="pilot"

I have also installed jpilot, jpilot-backup, jpilot-plugins,
jpilot-syncmal, gnome-pilot, gnome-pilot-conduits, libgnome-pilot2,
libpda-pilot-perl, libpisock9, libpisync0, pilot, pilot-link,
pilot-manager, pilot-qof, and pilot-template.

In my last installation of Ubuntu, when I plugged in my Palm Pilot,
before even hitting the Sync button, two entries would be created in my
/dev directory:
ttyUSB0
ttyUSB1

However, this time around, when I plug in my pilot, and even if I press
the Sync button, there are no ttyUSB* files in my /dev directory at all.

Without these entries in /dev, no Pilot manager software will connect to
the Palm.

Is there something elese I need to do to make my Palm Pilot work that I
have forgotten to set up this time?

Thank you for any advice.
