Error-KPPP

When i tried to configure my connection after installing modem on KUBUNTU
following message appear on opening KPPP


Error-KPPP
/etc/resolve.conf is missing or can't be read.
Ask your system administrator to create this file(can be empty) with
appropriate read and write instructions.

would anybody telll me how to set this error?
