Dapper: 100% CPU when idle SOLVED???

11% is too high, too. I would've thought 2% idle is good ..... that's what my system under breezy is.
 
 As for how I found out .............. gkrellm (plus the machine was getting very hot)
 
 A few people had the problem, I could go through the archives and find them for you if youl ike. It affected the 686 I think, as opposed to the 386.

Never seen it happen.  Mine is idling at about 11% according to Gnome
system monitor.  

How did you get the figure %100?
