The name of windows-partition changed without any reason!

This 'strange' character might come from the partition encoding. My
suggestion is
Check
sudo gedit /etc/fstab :
/dev/hda1 /media/hda1 vfat defaults,utf8,umask=007,gid=46
0 0
And replace utf8 with the following encoding : Windows-1252 .
Tell if it works.
