locale for Xlib

Hello,
I have deskbar-applet and beagle installed. My locale is en_IN. When I
run beagled, I get the following error.
 
(/usr/lib/beagle/BeagleDaemon.exe:7149): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not
supported by Xlib
(/usr/lib/beagle/BeagleDaemon.exe:7149): Gdk-WARNING **: cannot set
locale modifiers

When I change the locale to en_US, I get following error.

(/usr/lib/beagle/BeagleDaemon.exe:6488): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not
supported by  C library.
        Using the fallback 'C' locale.
Beagle Daemon exited with errors.  See ~/.beagle/Log/current-Beagle for
more det ails.

How to make beagle work? Similar locale error stops acroread from
starting. Any help, please?
