Help with mailman

Why on earth are you using rpm?  This is ubuntu.  I'm not sure it makes much
difference to how one would recover files, but since an rpm may well
install files to a different location than apt would, you can hardly expect
anyone here to know what you'd need to do.

With Ubuntu packages, you'd almost certainly just need to reinstall the
package.
