Are you certain that you are "ejecting" the pen before removing it
from the computer? The option is available when you right click on the
disk. The issue is that Linux caches writes to attached flash drive.
The files will appear to be there, but aren't yet written to disk. You
need to eject, then wait a few seconds for the flashing lights to stop
(if you have them) and *then* pull the pen out.
