LCD projection in UBUNTU

That depends on the laptop (I assume you're using a laptop) model you 
have. Which one do you have?

In most cases I've seen, you'll need to press whatever function keys you 
would press to achieve the same thing under Windows or OSX. In most IBM 
laptops I recall, as well as other laptops, that would be function-f7.
