vmware on ubuntu

There's an EASY solution that worked for me. 

  

- download
  http://platan.vc.cvut.cz/ftp/pub/vmware/vmwaredsp-1.3.tar.gz (if the
  file isnt found, browse the ftp to see if a new version is out.

- Extract the archive

- Run the sh file that was extracted as superuser: sudo ./runme.sh

- DONE

  

To run VMWARE, execute 'vmwareesd' in /usr/bin.

sound should now work!

spread the word. it was a huge pain to find this solution.
