Hmmm, looking at recent JREs, I don't think that "Java == slow" is fair
anymore. Current Java desktop applications work pretty well, given a
modest machine you can buy nowadays. In an enterprise environment or in
virtually every situation in which reliability matters, this should not
be a problem after all - saving money on _hardware_ is not a good idea
here. ;)
I love Python, but what I love about Java is the availability of a vast
bunch of frameworks that ease software development in an outstanding
way. Just look at Spring... Haven't yet found something like that for
Python...
